White House Reached Out to North Korea But Got No Response, Psaki Says

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Monday confirmed that the Biden administration has reached out to North Korea but to date, the White House has received no response from Pyongyang.

Psaki said the request for engagement follows “over a year without active dialogue with North Korea, despite multiple attempts.”

She said “diplomacy continues to remain our first priority,” and said the administration will continue to expand the engagement with partners and allies in the region.
