Lahore: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6 is just around the corner and here we are with team retentions for the much-anticipated tournament. 

Some surprising moves witnessed as Karachi Karachi Kings and Islamabad United made successful trade of Alex Hales and Colin Ingram. They have retained Babar Azam and Mohammad Amir in the platinum category. Meanwhile, they released Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan, two of the surprising releases of this year.

Following this trade, Karachi will take Islamabad’s pick in the first round of Diamond, while Islamabad will make their lone Diamond pick in the second round.

Islamabad United have retained Shadab Khan, who was named captain of PSL 5 Team, as captain this season.

As per the event rules, five sides have consumed their allocation of retaining up to eight players except Peshawar Zalmi, which have retained five players.

It must be noted here that the sixth edition of the PSL will start from February 20 in Karachi who will host 20 matches including double-headers. Whereas, Lahore will host the rest of the matches including the playoffs and final.
