Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says Pakistan supports an inclusive political settlement in Afghanistan which is the only way forward to a permanent peace and stability in the region.
Speaking at various ceremonies in Multan on Sunday, he said peaceful Afghanistan is in the interest of entire region.
The Foreign Minister said the people of Afghanistan want peace and stability in their homeland.
He said that my recent visit of four neighbouring countries remained successful and Pakistan’s point of view regarding Afghan situation was presented effectively.
Shah Mehmood said that he also talked to his counterparts of China, America and the UK and discussed evolving situation in the region.
He said world has appreciated role of Pakistan in Afghan Peace Process and lauded the efforts of Pakistani government in assisting with the evacuation of International diplomatic staff, citizens, international delegations and foreigners from Kabul after the Taliban takeover.
He said that Pakistan has not closed its border with Afghanistan and we are taking precautionary measures to keep our borders safe.
While talking about opposition alliance, Shah Mehmood said that Government has no threats form PDM meetings.
The Foreign Minister said that Pakistan is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minster Imran Khan.
He said zero tolerance policy is being adopted against corruption and corrupt elements will be held accountable.
