Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi eye first win in PSL 6

Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi will lock horns today at the National Stadium, Karachi for the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six.

Both teams are coming in this match with a defeat and will look to aim for their first points of the competition. Zalmi were defeated by Lahore Qalandars while Sultans lost a close encounter to Islamabad United.

Zalmi led by Wahab Riaz had a disappointing outing in their first encounter as they looked hopeless throughout the game.

The batsmen failed to make an impact while among bowlers, only Wahab and England’s Saqib Mehmood looked on the mark.

Wahab will be expecting more firepower from the top-order comprising of Kamran Akmal, Haider Ali and Imam-ul-Haq.

While, Shoaib Malik, Sherfane Rutherford and Ravi Bopara will look to continue their good form and finish well at the backend of innings.

On the other, Multan Sultans will be hoping the same from their batters as apart from captain Mohammad Rizwan, there’s was no support from the other end.

Sultans’ bowling hardly had a flaw in their first game apart from Sohail Tanvir’s penultimate over where he gave away 19 runs that cost Sultans the game.

They will be expecting the same from ‘Boom Boom’ Shahid Afridi and West Indies’ Carlos Braithwaite to continue their good run with the ball.

We might see a change in the form of leg-spinner Usman Qadir replacing pacer Sohaibullah to strengthen spin department.

Meanwhile, toss will play a vital role as the previous four matches have been won by teams batting second. The match starts at 7.00 pm.
