CHICAGO! | Pequod’s Pizza | Portillo’s | Wrigley Field | Shoreline Tour | Elephant & Castle

Last day in Chicago! Had to hit up one more deep dish pizzeria, and can’t leave Chicago without having a Chicago Dog and an Italian Beef sandwich!

Side trips include checking out Wrigley Field and taking an architectural boat river tour to view the breathtaking Chicago shoreline.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations. Couldn’t visit them all, but there’s always next time!

You guys should had went in the end of June/ beginning of July, when the Taste of Chicago was there. You should had tried Home Run Inn Pizzeria too. Did you guys go to Navy Pier, Try Pepe’s Tacos, it’s TOTALLY different and way BETTER that the Pepe’s Tacos out here in Las Vegas. Garret’s Popcorn originated from Chicago, which is much BETTER too, just like the Hotdogs, and Italian Beef Sandwiches.

I recommend these two places below on your next trip to Chicago.

    Yolk- (breakfast food)

    1. red velvet French toast- simply amazing!!

    2. Croque madame- French version of a ham and cheese- great

    Del Seoul:
    1. Kimchi fries- great

    2. K-town chicken wings– awesome

    3. Ramen noodles–cant remember the name on the menu but certainly worth a try

P.S.- Lou Malnati's has the best pizza in Chicago hands down …good choice Bill 🤷‍♂️😁

Yay for Bill! Lou Malnati's is my favorite deep dish too. Wish I would have run into you both. I worked all day and was at Barnes and Noble across the street from Pequod's and later was across the street at Walgreens!! Seeing you would have made my day. Hope you come back once the city fully opens up to dine in our restaurants. I have recommendations for you. 🤗

Yo Lisa (and Bill) I guess you two are not real big Matrix fans or you would remember in the very scene of the first Matrix movie, when Trinity was whopping the cops, she was on a phone near Wabash and Lake.
Secondly Lisa, stop that teasing putting the food (Italian beef sandwich ion this instance) toward the camera (phone) and asking, "You guys want a bite?"
And third, Bill, nice video of the high rise buildings when you looked up, to the left and then back down.
OK, keep up the good work, and maybe I'll see you two around.
    Catch you later.

Great vid! I'd love to visit Pequods, that's on my wish list. I've only had a chance to eat at Geno's East and Lou Malnatis, both were good with their own way.

Being from Chicago I always enjoy seeing people discovering the city and food. So sad you were unable to see a game at the best ballpark in the USA, you would have loved it. Living in southern California I always miss some of the things Chicago offers, such a great city. Thanks for the video.

I found out about Portillo's 'cause of Matthew's video, too! Then a classmate told me we had one at Buena Park! Try the Chocolate Cake Shake if you visit the Buena Park location next time. So yum! If you guys do end up going you should check out the Knott's Berry Farm Marketplace and Mrs. Knott's Fried Chicken just a few streets down. They're open for takeout now. Also, I always ALWAYS get Garrett's at Miracle Mile in Planet Hollywood. I miss Vegas so much!

From a Chicagoan, let’s pronounce it together: Lou Mall-not-ee’s……Pequods is still the best. We locals rarely eat deep dish. Thin crust tavern style, cut in squares is what we eat pizza wise.

I lived in the area for a few years and my fave 🍕 is Leona's. I don't think it's far from Wrigley Field. I think it has the best crust in the city. It definitely worth a trip.

I can't count the times as a teenager I spent at Wrigley Field on an afternoon when classes ended early. Next time I'm in Chicago I will look up this pizza place.

As much as I like eating. Eating a lot, and I do enjoy your vids. Cultural, scenic, touristy throw-in gives your channel more spice! Crazy delicious looking pizza pie by the way.
