Just last month section 144 was imposed on the Raghagan Dam due to the rising water levels. Wandering of people around the water reservoir, swimming and boating was banned by the Deputy Commissioner of the Bajaur district.

Despite the acknowledged threats of life loss, the boats were allowed in owing to negligence on part of relevant authorities.

The aggrieved families and relatives hold protests near the scene over criminal negligence played out by the people responsible.
